Website content

The information on this website describes the services we offer in general terms. It is not professional advice for a specific site or building, and it should not be relied on as such. Every project depends on its own survey, planning context and technical constraints.

We take care to keep the content accurate, but we do not guarantee that it is complete or current at all times.

Enquiries and quotations

An enquiry submitted through this website is not a contract. Any figure discussed before a survey is indicative only. A binding agreement is formed when we issue a written proposal or fee agreement for the specific project and you accept it in writing.

The scope of each commission is set out in that written agreement, including which stages of design, planning application management, building regulations work, quantity surveying or construction are included.

Planning and statutory approvals

We manage planning applications and building regulations submissions on the projects we are engaged for. Decisions on those applications are made by the local planning authority and building control body, not by us. We cannot guarantee the outcome or the timescale of any application, and local authority fees are payable in addition to our own.

Construction work

Where we carry out construction, the work is delivered by our own team, all of whom hold CSCS cards, and we maintain £5m public liability insurance. The specification, programme and payment arrangements for construction are set out in the written agreement for that project.

Intellectual property

Drawings, designs and documents we produce remain our intellectual property. On payment of the agreed fees you receive a licence to use them for the project they were prepared for. They may not be reused on another site or passed to a third party for a different project without our written consent.

The content, layout and branding of this website are our property and may not be reproduced without permission.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this website.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
